The city center and the Waterfront

The city center is very nice and is easily explored on foot. There are large buildings housing offices, shops, etc.. A large park can also enjoy the views of Table Mountain and relax.
Every day, it is possible to go to Greenmarket Square market to buy local handicrafts.
The Victoria and Albert Waterfront is not to be missed: it is a very pleasant place to live night and day around the harbor. Restaurants are plentiful and there are all kinds of food.

In Cape Town, the quality of the food is exceptional. The local cuisine is a blend of tropical ultra tasty food from many European influences. population is also adept of barbecues. Many dishes are cooked in a ‘potjie’ small cast iron casserole with three legs, model from the Middle Ages. You’ll also taste the wines, which are now among the best in the world.

The animations are numerous and almost daily. This is obviously a very touristy place but still enjoyable.

A short ten kilometers from the city, Robben Island is a small island famous for being the place where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. It is also now listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

The Cape of Good Hope

It is actually two caps located in a natural reserve: the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. The feeling of the end of the world is real and it is also the link of separation between the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
On the return journey, a passage through the huge range NordeHoek and Chapman’s Peak Road is mandatory. The latter is considered one of the most beautiful coastal routes in the world.

Table Mountain
